I just came across your inquiry, some years ago. Hopefully, you found an answer to your question. But just in case you haven't, let me provide this info:

The Brownsville PA church you reference is most likely "St. Mary of the Assumption" (Slovak) Catholic Church in Brownsville, Fayette County, PA (Diocese of Greensburg). The building was closed a few years ago due to structural problems. The parish was merged into the nearby St. Peter Catholic Church. To my knowledge, all records for St. Mary's were transferred to St. Peter's, and in reality, the pastor of St. Peter's ultimately settled in the rectory of St. Mary's. The phone contact for St. Peter's rectory is: 724-785-7781. Mailing address is 118 Church Street, Brownsville PA 15417.

Brownsville also has a St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, which is operational. And years ago, there was also a Sacred Heart (Hungarian) Catholic Church, which was folded into St. Peter's.
