Charles William Smitley's father was Joseph Macklin Smitley and he was born 15 Jan, 1834 in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania and died 9 Jan, 1900 in Stauffer, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.

He married Sarah Ellen Rinehart, and she was born on 21 Feb, 1844 in Bullskin, Fayette, Pennsylvania and died 5 Feb, 1911 in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania. There is more on this, but I will email you it when I get the time. They were all Pennsylvania Dutch.
