I too am looking for information regarding George Gardner, although I'm not quite sure if we're speaking of and seeking the same person.

The George Gardner I'm looking for was mentioned in a book entitled "THE GARDINERS OF NARRAGANSETT", dated 1919 by Caroline E. Robinson. In the "First Generation" chapter, it mentions that abt 1640, George (1) married #1 wife Herodias (Long) Hicks. They had eight children: Benoni, Henry, George (2) (who married Tabitha TEFFT in 2/13/1670)[** my direct family line], William, Nicholas, Dorcas, Rebecca and Samuel.

After their divorce, he married # 2 wife, Lydia BALLOU whereas they had an additional 6 children: Joseph, Lydia, Mary, Peregreene, Robert and Jeremiah.

Would any Gardner - Gardiner researcher have any information pertaining to "my" George(s)?? In the book it also states that George (1) "may be" the son of Thomas Gardiner, b. in England, married in Roxbury, MA in 1641. His aged widow (no name mentioned) was buried in Oct 7, 1658 (Roxbury, MA).

I'm hoping to locate documents/references which would show the specific dates of death and burial locations for George I and his son, George 2 & wife, Tabitha.
