Earliest Editions of Austin's "Dictionary"?

Did John Osborn AUSTIN's Dictionary of Rhode Island families (or other title) have more than the 1887 Edition? Was the 1887 the FIRST edition? How many other editions followed the original, please?

This 1887 edition was quoted by a researcher in abt 1920, concerning Nicholas BROWN of PORTSMOUTH, RI, who titled the work "Nicholas Brown of London England". That wording is not on the page I have from Austin, so I wondered whether a subsequent Edition removed that phrase, or ??

I have spent some years trying to find Nicholas Brown's home in England, so am interested in this recent "news" from 1920. I welcome your responses, Patricia Brown
