Surnames: LEWIS
While the John LEWIS that married Anna CLARKE in Westerly, RI in 1720 was a grandson of John LEWIS of Westerly (b. ca 1630, d. bef. 1690), he was not the son of Samuel and Joanna (CRANDALL?) LEWIS but of Samuel's brother, Daniel and Mary (MAXON/MAXSON) LEWIS.
