The Vital Records of Rhode Island from 1636-1850 compiled by JN Arnold are available on line but primarily at sites that charge, such as NEHGS.
There are many volunteers who do have access and will do lookups in Arnold's for people. The RI Ancestors web site which is on Yahoo is very helpful with offering lookups. If you are interested in it, you can go to yahoo and do a search for it, or email me privately and I can help you get into the group. There are many people on the list who descend from the Davises and allied families in the area. Many of them were Seventh Day Baptist and we have a lot of people with SDB ties on the list.
