I would like to know who the Harbin Plantation under Lake Moultrie got its name from. In 1809 Theodore Samuel Marion owned it. He was the son of Job Marion (son of Gabriel) & nephew of Francis Marion, the Swamp Fox. So far my only sources of information have been the SC Historical & Genealogical Magazine. Would anyone know or be able to trace its ownership in the Marion family prior to 1809? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
