Josie Evans was born in Long Cane,Abbeville, S.C. on August 1906 to a Mary Thomas and Joe I. Evans. Mary Thomas was the daughter of a farmer named Marshall Thomas and wife Sallie Thomas. I do not know when Mary died. Anywa, Josie grew up later marrying someone named Williams of which she had a daughter Annie Bell Mitchell. Josie Williams lived in Charlotte, N.C. for a long time, where she died in 9 August 1962. She was buried at the Alexander Funeral Home in Charlotte, N.D. Her address at the time was Horners Street. By the way there is a small town in Charlotte I think called Huntersville. Would like to know if anyone knows of this time.
