War of 1812. He married Elizabeth Roberts, dau. of Samuel Roberts &
Sarah Cooley of Greenville Co.

Their name was usually spelled Cockrum. By 1880 census the name was
spelled Cothran. Allen died by June 1880 Anderson Co. census.
Daniel's son, Richard, maried Sarah Ann Gillespie. Resided Anderson Co.
Daniel's dau., Lydia Ann , married James C. Gillespie.
