I believe that Martha Chapman Holliday is in my tree. Do you find any additional information about her? I find plenty of information supporting her as the daughter of Elias and Malinda Jordan Chapman of Greenville, as you state. What I am looking for is evidence of her marriage to Mr. Holliday, as I believe she is the mother of Eugenia and Mollie Holliday.

She is listed in the 1850 and 1860 census in Greenville living with her family.
In 1870, there is a Martha Holliday with Eugenie and Mollie listed on the same census page as Elias Chapman, which is a clue that this could be Martha Chapman after she was married, but not enough to be proof.
Apparently she married in Thomas A Owings in 1875, so sometime between 1860 & 1875 she could have married Holliday, had two kids, and then either separated or became a widow.

Her daughter, Eugenia Holliday would be my 3rd great grandmother.

Since you mention her name is Martha Chapman Holliday in your post, I was wondering if you had any information that could help support my hypothesis?

Thanks in advance, Missy
