Martin family: I have John Clifton Martin, born in Westminster, SC, 10/24/1897, d. 6/10/1950, probably in Clinton, SC. John's mother and father were Joseph Martin (born in Oconee County, died 1918) and Sally Hembree. Joseph and Sally's other children were: Ruth, Mamie, Ellen, Minnie (who lived in Anderson County and whose married name would have been HAWKINS), William, James (who was buried in Anderson County), and MacSwain (who is also referenced in Anderson - whether it is his birth or death is not known).
