I keep trying to find out who the parents of my great, great grandfather, William HAMILTON, b. 25 Jul, 1783, SC, (we think Pendleton District or Anderson Co., SC, or area later called Pickens Co., SC) William mar. Rachel HUNTER, in 1808 in Claiborne Co., TN. She was b. 15 Mar, 1791 or 1792, Weaver's Creek, Pickens (later called), SC., the dau. of Henry HUNTER, and Barbara BOLLINGER, and granddau. of John HUNTER, Rev. War Soldier, and Barbara BOWMAN. William HAMILTON moved to Claiborne Co., TN, and married Rachel, twin of Joseph HUNTER. William was Captain of Co., E, Company, under Lilliard's command., in the War of 1812. William and Rachel had abt. 13 children.We know nothing about William HAMILTON much between 1783 and 1808, but a lot known since about 1808.If possible descendents of siblings have any descendents , one might have this information written down and just
