Thanks for your reply. I know most of Mary Ann Funderburk's family/history. Her mother was a Belk. My grandfather was the son. He was raised as a Griffin. I am also very familiar with their history too. We did not know until recently that John Jackson Griffin was not his father. A DNA test on my uncle confirmed it and strongly suggested that Threat (Threet, Threatt) was his surname. I am also looking for school records to see what name my grandfather went by before Griffin. His name was Rufus Barton Griffin. His date of birth was July 28, 1888. The 1900's census put them in Old Store, South Carolina. Thanks, Mollie
