Thanks Gail, Do you think the Brinkley Gandy listed
at www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/1462/edward2.html
is the same Brinkley Gandy in the Darlington Co.
1800, 1810, and 1820 census? On the Brinkley Gandy
page at www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/1462/gandybklist.html it shows a Brinkley Jr. b 1764 s/o Brinkley and first wife. I have found evidence of a first
"wife" Booka and his descendants are form the
first wife. On the LDS church site, it says Brinkley b. 1742 m. Polly in Darilington SC
and lists Booka as thier child. If you figure the age of the oldest male in the 1800 census, he dosen't
appear to be born in 1742, it seems to be a younger
Brinkley. Ofcourse censuses contian mistakes. What do you think? Debbie
