MRS. MINNIE TURNER
Edgefield, S.C., Feb. 19 -- Mrs. Minnie Turner, wife of M. C. Turner, died at her home in Edgefield Wednesday afternoon at 5:10 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted at Edgefield Baptist church Friday afternoon at 4:30 by Rev. H. B. White and Rev. Truman Brown of Saluda.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. C. C. Chambers, Mrs. Fannie Hazel, Mrs. Eunice Booth, Miss Petty [sic] Lou Turner, Edgefield; Mrs. Mattie Cato, Trenton; Miss Jennie Mae Turner and Miss Nellie Mae Turner, Clinton; one son, Harvey Turner of Edgefield; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Bledsoe, Johnston; Mrs. B. W. Haston, Ninety-Six; four brothers, Pierce Turner and Joe Turner, Edgefield; Jim and Luther Turner, Johnston.

Notes:
This is another case of the many Turner/Turner marriages of the lines of Turners from the Old Edgefield Co. area. Her name does appear on some census records such that it could be interpreted as Minnie but most seem to be listed as some variation of Mimmie. I believe the preponderance of information points to the name actually being Jemima.

1880--with parents as Jemima age 2
1900--with husband "Millige" Turner as Mima born July 1876 age 23
1910--with husband "W. C." Turner as Mime age 34
1920--with husband Millege C. Turner as Mimie age 43
1930--with husband Millage C. Turner as Minie age 53
1942--on death certificate as Mrs. Mimmie Turner age 65 yrs 7 mos 3 days
