I need help in locating ANY information about JAMES (or JIMMY) HERON who resided in Monticello, SC, in the late 1800's and/or early 1900's. He was the father of GEORGE MOORE HERON, my grandfather, who married ANNIE LOVE FOWLER, my paternal grandmother who resided in Jenkinsville, SC. Family legend states that Jimmy Heron rode the mail with horse and buggy from the railroad junction at Alston through Jenkinsville to Monticello. Jimmy supposedly was often heard to quote Shakespeare which he studied at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. I find no official records of his existence.
