This is some information I found on a website on Curtis family regarding Elenor/Ellender Robbins and her marriage to Benjamin Clearwater. Not much on Benjamin Clearwater since they are following the Curtis line.
Spouse: ELENOR ROBBINS
Name-Var: __ ___ 1762 ELLENDER ROBBINS
Birth: __ ___ 1762 Virginia (or Rowan County, North Carolina).27
Marriage: 2 Aug 1788 BENJAMIN CLEARWATER (b. 1748, d. 7 Mar 1848); Randolph, North Carolina (date license fee paid).
Census: __ ___ 1790 BENJAMIN CLEARWATER (b. 1748, d. 7 Mar 1848); Greenville, South Carolina; page 119, 1 male over
16, 1 male under 16, 3 females.13
Death [of Ellender]: 11 Aug 1852 the home of Thomas and Olive Stephens, Hall, Georgia.
According to the Curtis website, this is the same Benjamin Clearwater who received the pension for service in Virginia during the Revolutionary War. The marriage records put him in NC in the same county as our Jacob Clearwater.
