Noah Coleman aka Noah Billings had a brother named James Coleman who also served in the 1st Inf during the War of 1812. They both enlisted on the same date (20 Jun 1812) in Greenville, SC. I am searching for further info about either Noah or James (b abt 1794 VA.) I also know that the Joseph Coleman mentioned in previous posts here was related, but I am not sure how.

James Coleman married Elizabeth "Betsy" Taylor in 1819, in St. Tammany Par, LA. They settled to live in Rankin Co, MS.

DNA results show many connections to descendants of Robert Coleman of Mobjack Bay.

If anyone can help, please contact me! Thank you!
