I am very pleased to have received your message.
Hiram Ross and his nephew James Ross were murdered on Nov 15, 1890. They are both said to be buried in Palestine Cemetery where so many Ross' are buried. There is a headstone for either Hiram or James in the cemetery, coincidentally immediately beside a road bed that goes through the cemetery. I suspect that there was no headstone and when the road was cut between the Palestine Church and the main section of the cemetery, the grave site of the Ross whose grave was not marked was destroyed.
But regarding your message, I have more than 19,000 names on my family tree, of people who descended from James Ross of Scotland, and later South Carolina.
Would be very interested to talk to you about the family tree -- and I will gladly share anything that I have regarding the family tree. I can be reached by telephone at 254-836-1986, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
