MRS. MARGARET PITTMAN
GREER, May 27 - Mrs. Margaret Harrison Pittman, 84, died at her home near Greer Thursday night at 11:20 o'clock after declining health for several months. Mrs. Pittman was the widow of the late Steve Pittman.
She was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church near Gowensville.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. M.A. Peace, Landrum; Columbus Pittman, Greer, Route 3; Mrs. C.L. Verdin and Birton Pittman, Greer, Route 2; R.V. Pittman, Rockingham, N.C.; Mrs. C.H. Evans, Arlington; Mrs. A.H. Morrow, Augusta, Ga.; Mrs. Etta Howard, Greer, Route 5; 64 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Liberty Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. M.W. Lever, assisted by the Rev. J.N. Watson. Interment will follow in the Church cemetary.
Pallbearers will be Bob Howard, Garold Evans, Raymond Pittman, Steve Pittman, Harold Pittman and Troy Pittman. The body is at 20 Franklin Street at the Franklin Mill village in Greer.
