I am African American, and seeking information on the following:staunch evangelist Anne Francis Sutton, born 1884 or 1886, daughter of Edward Sutton and Minerva Johnson. Annie married Samuel Green; they had four children together -- Fannie Mae, Rachel, Samuel Jr.and Daniel -- joining his two children from a previous marriage: Rosa, born 1905, and Edna, 1911. The Sutton and Green families lived in Lexington County. I know from the 1920 census that Sam Jr., was born in Bull Swamp Township, in 1919. I would like to have any information on these ancestors on my father Daniel's side. Am also very curious about Edward Sutton and Minerva, his first wife, as well as Samuel Green Sr.'s background, parents and relations. I have no idea when or where Samuel Sr. married Annie. He was born in 1875 or 1876. Minerva's sister, Lucy Johnson, who raised my grandmother Annie, married a Jacob Manigault.

On my mother's side, I'd like to know more about Walker and Snipes connections in the Dorchester County area (perhaps Orangeburg County, prior to 1897). Also, of interest and concern, the Weatherspoons, who eventually settled in southwest Georgia..

Thanks, in advance, for any information you can unearth or share.
