I just returned from the Lexington County library in hopes to find the burial place of Lula Fallaw Cockrell (first wife of Griffin Cockrell, father of Crumwell W. Cockrell who married Clara Belle Risinger - my husband's gr-aunt). Unfortunately, I could not find where she is buried. I searched 2 books. One - “Silent Cities, A Tombstone Registry of Old Lexington District, South Carolina, Volume 1” by June Anderson Seay (1984)" and "Lexington Area Cemeteries, Vol.1-4, Lexington Genealogical Association". While I was searching for her, I decided to document all of the Cockrells and Fallaws that I could find. My notes are below.
