On the "Friendship" passenger list, made November 22, 1763, arriving in SC are the founders of New Bordeaux:

John Louis Gibert [Pastor] and his wife Jane Boutiton (21) [the daughter of Jacques Boutiton ?].

Jacques Boutiton (54), his wife Margaretta Teyssandieu (54)
their son Pierre Boutiton (20)
and I suppose Jacques' brother Pierre Boutiton (50) [Pastor]

Does anybody have information about them before their departure from Bordeaux [the real Bx] ?

My great grand mother was Antoinette Boutiton and I have 29 Boutiton in my known family tree. The earliest dating from about 1700.

As far as I know, none of them were protestant, but I wonder if they were not related anyway, as my whole family is from near Bordeaux.

I mean, from Bordeaux, France.
