10 years is a long time to wait to try and locate info about the Chambers/Chalmers estate but I just now found this post. I have to try. I think there is a connection between the Wilson surname and the Chambers or Chalmers surname. Info is as follows:

I'm looking for information on a William Wilson born ca 1800 SC who lived somewhere in SC in the 1800-1841 time period. Wife was Sarah, born ca 1809 SC; could have been a 2nd wife. Children were Benjamin W E Wilson born ca 1829; Mary M born ca 1837; Abigail/Abby L born ca 1838; Martha A born ca 1839; and James, born ca 1841.

This family is in Walker Co GA by 1850; census shows 4 more children...Susan/Suzy ca 1843 GA; Jerrell/Jerry M ca 1845 GA; Minerva J ca 1847 GA; and Sarah E/Sarah Elizabeth ca 1849 Ga. They are in DeKalb Co AL by 1860 along with one more son, my great gfather Abrhahm/Abe ca 1852 GA. On the 1870 census, I think I find the father, William Wilson in Jackson Co AL, age 69 SC, living with daughter Minerva Jane Wilson Wenrick. Also in that home is a Josephine Chambers/Chalmers, age 10, born ca 1860 AL. Her surname is not easily determined. I have no idea who she is or why she was in the home and I've been unable to find any more information on her or determine who her parents were.

Can anyone connect or offer any help?
