I would appreciate any help finding a cemetery containing 20 to 30 graves, most 1820-1840 period. I have directions, and know that the site is off of a dirt road (at least in existence in 1983)offf of sc road 101, which is now named Silverstreet Road, going NW from SC 34 in Silverstreet to Island Ford Road. I believe the most likely candidates are either Saddler Road or Derrick Road. The directions, dictated by a Mr. Charlie Senn in 1983, lead you to Silverstreet Road going NW toward Island Ford Road. the directsions then state, "go until passing power line" (main transmission lines crossing the road from the powerhouse at Chappells?)"Turn left onto dirt road, Continue until dirt road devides, avoid left branch, continue on,Cemetery is on small hill to the right of dirt road, just south of the power line."
In this plot lies Isaac Davenport(1754 to 1815)and his family, from whom I am descended.I have searched the more likely parts of Saddler Road, without success. Can anyone help me?
