BEWARE MISTAKEN IDENTITY IN FAMILY TREES for Walter and Eula Jordan

Classification: Biography
There are several trees that show Walter Jordan, sister of Eula Jordan as Walter Walden Jordan, and as having died in 1875, yet the Federal Census record shows him residing in Indian Township, Williamsburg, SC, with his sister, Eula Jordan Ham and brother-in-law, George Nettles Ham in 1880, and their relationship is clearly stated in the census.

Many of those trees also show Napoleon Bonaparte "Polson" Jordan as his father. Napoleon Bonaparte and Polson Jordan are two different people, and I don't believe either is his and Eula's father. According to the 1870 Federal Census record for Lake Township, Williamsburg, Walter was living with P.M. Jordan (born 1840), his mother, Martha (born 1842), his sister Eula, Meter, Lee and an infant Jordan.
