I am corresponding with a couple of people on this very subject. Most believe that William Latham (also showed as William Lathrum) on an earlier census in Anderson, Co., SC was the father of five sons. One being Cornelius. They also believe there was at least 3 daughters. But no names to go with them to date. You may want to contact others concerning documentation on Cornelius, William Jr., David, unknown son, and James A.. They most likely can help you with this more than I can. But I have been told the following:

Cornelius Latham is the third son of William. He was born between 1800-1810 and there are records on him along with will and guardian records in the Anderson County (SC) probate records.
