My name is James Ravenell and I am trying to find my father's family. I was able to locate some great information from the 1940 Census for my grandmother (father's mother). Her name is Zelma Benjamin. Her mother's name is Bertha and father, Fred. They had 10 kids: Nesha (born 1916), Pearl(born 1918), Imee(born 1923), Inell(born 1923), Zelma(born 1924), Fred(born 1925), Willie(born 1927), Lee(born 1930), Jessi(born 1934), and Mary Ann(born 1937). In 1940, they lived in the Pine Grove, Calhoun, SC.

My grandmother Zelma Benjamin 1924-1954)married James Ravenell (1918 - 1956) and they lived in the Orangburg/St. Matthews area of South Carolina. They had 2 children - my father, Alex and his sister, Rosa.

I am looking for relatives to either family. Me and my siblings would like to meet someone who is related to our father.
