looking for all connections in my family cemetary in Allen,SD and Red Shirt,SD , the older graves have lost markings, so I started a family tree. I need help for all names, especially the Morrison (was half sioux and ? by 1850, the son born 1899 had a story of traveling by wagon with a Witt from OLD MEXICO to get to SD, his first wife was a Long Warrior) and Salvis( this was a fixed marriage so where was the connection of the fathers?). All are Lakota Sioux or intermarried into the tribe. the best help that I received so far has listed brothers and sisters married to each other so I need to get this all straightened out. can someone tell me why are stones marked with abbreviations placed at the foot of the oldest graves? such as E.W.C. and R.N.G. and others.
I am hoping that someone may have a copy of the grave names on the site in Allen.
