I am looking for information about my biological grandfather, who was Irish. He was a soldier in WWI and died in the war. He and Anna Nelson (of Norwegian and Irish descent) had a child in December of 1917, born in Aberdeen, Brown County, South Dakota. The baby's name was Anna Margaret (Marguerite?) Nelson.
In January of 1919, the baby was put up for adoption at North Dakota Children's Home Society in Fargo, North Dakota and adopted by a farm couple in April of 1917, who lived in Stutsman County, N.D. near Pettibone.
I would dearly love to find out more about my grandfather, whose name I do not know, and my grandmother, Anna Nelson who was born about 1896, in the U.S. If you have any information, kindly contact me. Thank you.
