Classification: Query
Surnames: Fletcher, Austin, Zwick, Beers
The Fletcher family went to Brown County, SD, in the early 1900's with their six children, Lewis, Elsie, Albert, Roy, Lida and Marguerite
According to the 1910 census, Almira's brother John Austin lived nearby with his wife Anna and their eight children, Lewis, Marvin, Lena, Vada, Fern, Lorene, Melvin and Earl.
In the 1920 census, Henry and Almira Fletcher were still in Brown County, living with their daughter Marguerite and 5-year-old grandson, Ray Zwick.
Lida Fletcher Zwick was my grandmother; Ray Zwick was my father;
Marguerite Fletcher later married Bert Beers and moved to Spokane, Washington.
Elsie Fletcher (I don't know her married name) died in a cooking accident, probably before 1920. She cooked either in a chuck wagon or a little "cooking shack" that overturned during a wind storm and died of her burns.
Does anybody know this family? or where and when Henry and Almira passed away and where they are buried?
