Looking for history of Dr. Edmund H, Compton of Andover/Pierpont

Classification: Query
Surnames: Compton, Heydlauff, Meek, Shannon, Ewald
My grandmother, Florene Campbell Heydlauff, was raised by her aunt and uncle, Gabriella Waters Compton and Dr. Edmund H. Compton. They came to the Andover area sometime around 1898 from KY via IL. I have heard that Edmund Compton was the first physician in Andover. They ultimately settled in Pierpont and both Edmund and Gabriella are buried in the cemetary in Pierpont (She died in 1910 and he in 1916). My grandmother married Romain Heydlauff of the Oak Gulch/Crandall area just prior to the turn of the 20th century. Romain was the son of John Heydlauff and Lucy Jane Smith Heydlauff of Day County. His siblings include Hyrcanus J. Heydlauff, Ormo W. Heydlauff, Uretta Heydlauff Shannon, Minnie Heydlauff Ewald, Anna Laura Heydlauff Meek, and Heber Henry Heydlauff. Any information on these people (especially the Comptons) would be greatly appreciated.
