Otis Tye was my great grandfather. He homesteaded both in Montana and north Dakota. Ada was caught outside in the school children's blizzard of 1888. He was on another farm when the blizzard hit and returned home to find her passed and laying outside He buried her there at their home and moved on to homestead in north Dakota. He rarely ever spoke about the ordeal.
