I need help!
By a long process of elimination and research I have discovered that many of my Anderson relatives were either born, baptised, or settled in Moody County- particularly the city of Colman.
Alot of my trails end here, only to be picked up after a couple of years in MN. I would like to discover the fates of:
Tosten Anderson (b 1830) in Oppland, Norway. Immigrated 1870 and lived with Martha Jorgendatter and children Martin, Edward, John, Andrine and Thea (Tillie) in Vernon, WI in 1880. Between 1881-1890 they moved to Colman. I do NOT know if Tosten & Martha came with them, but I researched Vernon with no results.
John married Marie Poulson in Webster, WI in 1887-While in Colman (1888-1896) Edward Anderson married "Oline". I have baptismal records (courtesy of Digital Archive) for both John and Marie's kids and Edward and Oline's- Sara, Edna, and Adolph all baptised in "Hegre Norwegian Lutheran Church".
I know at this time that Martin and Andrine were there- as godparents (and Martin had a birth of his own- "Arthur".)
Has anyone heard of this church- it sounds like a wealth of info is there! Also, if this sounds familiar, please give me an e-mail- I have alot of info before and after this time frame.....
Thank you,
Mark Smith
