Trying to discover whether Mercy Stanley born in 1773,Goshen,Connecticut could be the same Mercy that married Simon Hams in Kingsnorth,Kent,in 1794, been researching for some time, she had two illegitimate sons called John and Charles.The latter to whom i am descended.Did she come from USA by boat? Also does anyone know anything about Simon Hams? I m sure this is the same Mercy but it is so frustrating when you can t make the connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated
