We are assisting a friend in Denmark with research concerning one of her ancestors who came to Turner County about 1914. His name was Anders Peder Andersen. (He sometimes went by “A.P. Andersen”) On the 1920 census, he was a lodger in the household of Earl Dickerson and his wife, Inga, in Daneville, Turner County. In 1930, he was living with Raymond Dickerson and his wife, Laura, in Irene, Turner County. Apparently, he never married. We have searched extensively, online and elsewhere, but have not yet located a date and place of death for this particular Anders Peder Andersen, who was born on March 4, 1891, in Skibsted,Denmark. There are other men with the same, or similar names, who were living in South Dakota at the time, but none of the men that we have found in the records are the correct person. We are hoping that someone related to the Dickerson families listed above might recall this man, who lived with these families, and worked for them as a farm laborer, for a number of years. Our friend in Denmark would like to know what happened to Anders Peder Andersen.
