My Burden research stops at Nancy Burden, head of household, 1830 census of McNairy Co.,TN. Then 1 of her sons marries and in 1839 they have a son who is my Gr-grandfather so I have 2 males missing. Through a relative in MO I find they left TN btwn 1840 and 1850 for Hopkins Co.,TX. My gr-grandfather John Burden was then raised by the family having lost his mother along the way also.
Found surveys for property along Mud Cr. for Joseph, William, John and Manson abt 1827.
Know there is Indian blood but again no Trail of Tears so no record but Nancy does say she was b in NC abt 1790.
Always felt there could be a connection with the White countians but can find no evidence
The one thing that really gets me is checking all the group sheets I have of the Benj. Borden Clan is the fact that John and Ann Wheeler Borden's family has a son John b 1770-1777, in Hardeman Co.,TN(so they say) and I find nobody by that name
in Hardeman and mine were in Hardin bef going to TX. Isn't it curious that Eli Keith was also in the same area.
