Adam King paid tax on land in Blount County in 1805. By 1818 he was deceased and his property was sold at a Sheriff sale.

Adam KING Deceased ) This day came the plaintiff by his atto. And it appearing to the Court from the return on the Sci Fac issued in this clause that the defendants have been duly warned & they are not appearing altho solemnly called- Therefore it is considered by the Court that the plaintiff may have the execution of the lands & tenements which descended to the said Henry KING, Peggy KING, Isaac KING, Nancy KING & Adam KING heirs at law of Adam King Deceased, for the sums of twenty one dollars and eighteen cents, damages and four dollars & sixty nine cents costs in the said Scire facias mentioned together with his costs by him suing forth and prosecuting this writ.
This indenture made this twelfth day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen between Charles Donahoo Sheriff of Blount County and State of Tennessee of the first part and John Glass of the other part Witness whereas five executions received from County Court of said county and to me directed commanding me to make a certain sum of money which execution was allowed on five judgments obtained by John Glass against Henry King, Peggy King, Isaac king, Nancy King, Adam King heirs of Adam King deceased on the twelfth day of December one thousand eight hundred an eighteen at the Courthouse in Marysville set up and offer for said a certain tract of land belonging to said heirs lying and being inside County of Blount containing one hundred acres when John Glass offered and bid the sum of sixty eight dollars and fifty cents which was the highest bid made for said land now know ye Charles Donahoo Sheriff as afore sued in consequence of said bid it bring the highest and best bid made for said lands do by power of my office and by virtue of the said executions as affirmed convey to John Glass and his heirs from all the rights legal clause of them the said Henry king, Peggy King, Isaac King, Nancy King, Adam King, heirs of Adam King deceased have indeed to said land with appurtenances thereto and hereby acknowledged the receipt of afore said sum of given under my hand and seal December 12th, 1818.
