I too am looking for a Heatherly / Brown connection. I am looking for information on Harden or Hardin W. Brown. I believe he was born in La Follette, Campbell County, Tennessee. He was born on 27 May 1920. I submitted to the Office of Vital Records in Nashville but they could not find him. He may have been born in Campbell, Anderson or Union counties. He was married to Mary Lusinda Relford in Georgia on 30 Aug 1941. She was born on 24 Oct 1924 in Union County, TN.
Harden's father may have been William Brown who was born, unknown location, in 1890. Harden's mother was Heatherley or Hatherley or Heathery or Heatherly. Not sure.
I cannot find the connection between Harden and his family and I could really use some help in this matter.
If you are able to help, please send me an email to dibrotc@yahoo.com. I would greatly appreciate any help you could provide in this matter.
Harden is my grandfather; he had passed away in Toledo, OH on 07 Oct 1999. Respectfully.

I don't know if this is your Harden but there is a World War II Army Enlistment record for a Harden W.(Warren) Brown. I can't access the whole record but it indicates he enlisted in Georgia but his residence was Lucas, Ohio. Hope this helps.

Melissa, could you possibly lookup a Phoebe Spencer for me. She was married to my Dad and they divorced and she went to Lafollette TN and remarried and to whom I have no ideal. She is the daughter of James Spencer and Polly Gross. She left Dad about 1920 after thier baby son died. She was born in November of 1891 in KY. She has grandchildren that would like to know what happened to her. Thanks Margaret

Melissa,
I just came across your posting from a few years ago...and I hope that you are still doing lookups. If you are willing to look up Campbell County Marriages 1838-1890, I have 2 that I would like done. (Elihu Wilburn & Isabel Walden m. Dec 8, 1858 and Mourning Wilburn & Morten Carroll August 24, 1854) I am working on a project and need documentation of those marriages. I would be happy to reimburse you for your help.

Thank you in advance.

Melissa - regarding your offer of look-ups in Campbell County books, you posted a list of the books available to you in the Library.
Do you know if these were published by, say, a Campbell County Historical Society or some such? I have a few books from the Scott County Historical Society and would love to own some from Campbell County, as most of my TRAMMELL family lived on both sides of the county line.
What can you tell me about availability of those books on marriages, deaths, cemeteries, and so on?
Thank you.
Nancy

I hope this is of some help.I recently made a trip to the Campbell County Historical Society. They do possess a book of marriages covering most of those dates mentioned. I know they have one for 1838-67.
The phone number for CCHS is (423)566-3581
I know that they do sell certain publications I'm just not sure which ones.
Good Luck, Frank
