I am looking for any info available on the Keaton families that migrated from Patrick Co., VA to Cannon Co., TN area. I also know very little about the Tedders. I have access to the R.A. Dennis manuscripts posted online, but am finding them confusing.
The following is my line starting with my 3g-gparents: Parker Franklin Tedder (b. abt 1838, TN) m. Sarah Annie Keaton; Sarah was d/o Peter A. Keaton & Jane Keaton (m. 1833 in Patrick Co. VA); Jane was d/o Zack Keaton & Susan Elizabeth Adams.
Does anyone have any info on the parents of P.F. Tedder? His son John B. Tedder m. Mary T. Williams (b. Nov 1866, TN) about 1887. Mary T. Williams was d/o Joseph O. Williams and Martha ___. Joseph was s/o Jesse B. Williams and Mary/Polly Duncan.
I have found several Cannon Co. Census entries for families with matching names. Any info on any of these people or their roots would be helpful.
Also, was Peter A. related to the other Keatons before marrying Jane, if so how?
