I am seeking information concerning Gentry Swinfield Smith born 01-01-1880 in Cannon, Tennessee to Jarrat Lasalle Smith and Ida Mae Wright. I believe he is my Great Grandfather. I would like to confirm that he is the Gentry Smith who married Rosalind Pearcy and I would like to know what happened to her.

My Grandfather John Duravant Smith (Born 08-02-1906 in Minneapolis, Minnesota Died 03-1979) didn't leave much information as to whom is parents were and many thought he was adopted at a young age. After requesting his original Social Security Application I found he had listed his parents as Gentry S. Smith (Born 01-01-1880 Died 12-4-1918 in Minnehaha, South Dakota) and Rosalind Pearcy.

Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
