The whole thing is a problem. First off I found a marriage for the husband to a Margeret in 1859 of a diferent name than Conley. The census says Mother and could be the mother of James he being from a first marriage or it could be missed indentified and it is the mother of Margeret from a first marriage. She is not Jesse Conley's wife althought Elizabeth Edwards was born Feb 3 1811 in NC abd both parents were born NC. It was a long shot and I have since proven it not to be my Elizabeth.

Leon

I think OP's father was Robert and Joseph was his grandfather. Robert appears to have been the brother of my great-grandmother, Martha Ann (Mattie) Campbell who married John Kirby; they moved to Oklahoma somewhere between the 1910 and 1920 census-taking. I know NOTHING of this side of my family except what I've learned on ancestry.com so I'm very happy for every tidbit I find!
Rance or Rancie HIggins and Joseph Higgins

My great grandfather, Rance or Rancie Higgins was born in 1882 (according to his SSN) and raised in Cannon Co. TN by Joseph Higgins. Can anyone help me find out whether Joseph Higgins was indeed Rance Higgins' father or was Rance adopted? I have heard that Rance was the son of an African American slave named Ellen Smith or Pruett. If anyone can find a link between Rance Higgins, Joseph Higgins and an Ellen Smith or Pruett in Cannon Co. records, please let me know! I will be very grateful for any help! Thanks Brandi

I checked the Cemetery Book for Cannon County and there is not any Pages listed.
I show this one in 1900. I went back and saw he did not have a daughter by this name. But on the WW 1 Draft Reg for Martin Alexander Page in Hill County, TX, he shows the nearest relative as a Nettie or Nellie Moore of OKlahoma.
Kevin Morgan
Name: John W Page
Home in 1900: Madison, Johnson, Missouri
Age: 62
Birth Date: Dec 1837
Birthplace: Virginia
Race: White
Ethnicity: American
Relationship to head-of-house: Head
Marital Status: Widowed
Residence : Holden City, Johnson, Missouri
Household Members:
Name Age
John W Page 62
Nettie L Page 27

I seen your post to do look-ups I am trying to do my Taylor family tree the names I need are James R Taylor born 1828 died 1884 I found him in the 1880 census married to Julian Melissa Manus (1870) and I know that is him because my g-grandfather Andrew Jackson Taylor and his brother Harvey Gilbert Taylor were on the census. I was told that James R Taylor was married several times any info on any of these names would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to find out as much about James R Taylor as I can. I was told he had a son named James Harrison Taylor by another marriage and that Harrison lived in coffee co. Thank you for your time.

Stephanie (Taylor) Senn

now,i think my gggrandmother frances fannie mcferrin page is buried in woodbury, tennessee in the oliver-mcferrin cemetery.i,ve been there, there is an unmarked grave there,we think it,s her.story has it that alexander frazier mcferrin disowned his daughter because she married a "page"there was some kind of falling out between a.f.mcferrin and my gggrandfather,a.f.gave them some land for a wedding present, well, ole a.f.mcferrin renigged and wanted the land back,he sued my gggrandfather to get it back, well,it turns out that the land was sold on the steps of the courthouse during a land auction.i,ve heard that ole a.f.mcferrin was not the easiest man to live with,he was the richest man in woodbury, and let his money go to his head so to speak.rumor has it that my gggrandfather was the inventor of the train couplar,he was supposedly murdered for his patent.strange that lucas t.page and his brother both disappear right after the 1880 census.some seem to think they went out to holland texas.but i cannot prove it.i went to woodbury, last year and i got the uncertain feeling that i was not wanted there.in that town everyone knows each other.i found a woman that works at hardees and i asked her if she was related, her last name was "page"and all she said to me was "i might be"and left it at that.it seems that noone wasnts to bout family history in that town, gather that something happened there.it,s a mystery.
my email-carla_page39@yahoo.com or pagefanny@juno.com
