I have finally identified my great-great grandmother to a woman named Ollie (Olly) Hopson out of Claibourne Co. TN. She was born about 1816 and married Pleasant Kirby first and then Elisha Nunn. I cannot find any records of her at all before that. In fact, I only found her because of unique names she had named her children including Salsbury.Believe it or not That moniker followed her grandchildren, along with Ollie which is also unusual, and eased my search some. She may have had a Mary or Elizabeth hooked to her name because her daughter was Mary Elizabeth and was called Betty. There might have also been a Purlina, Melvina or a Wiley in the mix. Does anybody have any information about her family? I do so hate to lose the line there!
