Classification: Query
Surnames: Dunn Carr Atnip Bennett

My G-Grandfather was Asbury Dunn Born in DeKalb Countyy, TN about 1875. He also had a brother, Harve Dunn. Their Father, Jim Dunn was deceased by 1880. Their Mother, died shortly thereafter, and their were raised by their maternal Grandmother, Elizabeth "Granny" or "Betsy" Bennett.

This far is pretty much straight forward, and supported by census information. However, I was told by my grandmother that they also had two sisters who were either adopted or married into the Carr family of the middle Tennessee area. They also had Atnip descendents in the DeKalb County-Smithville vacinity.

One of these sisters was said to be Sarah Elizabeth Dunn, who may have married an OC Carr. Indeed there is a marriage license for an SE Dunn and OC Carr, dated Oct 21, 1891, in Warren County, TN. The other sister's name, I do not recall ever having heard.

I am seeking more information on these sisters, and any descendents they may have had, and any new information on the relatedness of these families. Thank you for any any clarifications or leads, as I have pretty much exhausted my own resources.

Sincerely,
Lyn Dunn Milam
