PEARL WHITE GREER, 98, homemaker, of Memphis, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006 in Batesville, MS. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 31 at Forest Hill Funeral South. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial in Forest Hill South Cemetery. She was a Methodist by faith. She leaves her niece and caregiver, Martha Walden; one granddaughter, Debbie Keith of Memphis, and one great-grandchild. Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society. This lady was born as Ola Pearl Beck on 5 June 1907 in Dickson County, TN the daughter of Bessie Adcock and David Crawford Beck Jr. She was marrried first to Cecil White who died in 1968. They had one child, Cecil Laverne who died in 1996. She later married Ewing GREER of Pegram who died several years ago. Aunt Pearl ends a generation of our family being the last of 10 children fathered by David Crawford Beck Jr and his 2 wives, Ida Brown and Bessie Adcock.
