Peter Arney (1772-1845), who was born in Tryon County, North Carolina, and died in Overton County, Tennessee.

In 1787, Peter Arney, age 15, was bound by the Court, to John Fullenwider/Fulenwider, to learn the trade of a Miller, until the age of 21.

I'm praying someone may know the whereabouts of "Peter Arney's Journal".

It was in the attic of an old Arney house, which was sold to the Grand-daughter of Carley Arney.

The journal talks about Peter Arney being an "indentured servant", and running away (from North Carolina) to live with family in Virginia. Which would finally explain why Peter Arney went to Wythe County, Virginia, where he married Margaret (maiden name/surname, unknown), and began his family.

The journal may also be with the family of Peter Arney's eldest son, Adam Arney (1797-1871?), descendants of Adam Arney, visited the home (in question) before or just after, its' sale to Carley Arney's Grand-daughter, and may have taken items from the home.

It has been sought after, for several years.

I pray that the person or party, that had his Journal, realized it's significance and kept it. It would definitely be a family treasure of the highest level.

Peter Arney is this branch of the Arney's, "Tennessee Patriarch", meaning many of the ancestors that live(d) in Tennessee, are his descendants.
