In an 1834 will of James Walker recorded in Christian County, Kentucky several hundred acres of land is given to James and Elizabeth Johnson Walker's oldest children
William R. Walker,James Monroe Walker, Alexander Walker,
John Barnett Walker and three married daughters Jincey Abney, Betsey Paine, and another married daughter. I am
wondering if there are an records of their families in
Gibson County? I would also like to know how their father
acquired so much land in Chickasaw territory. Six of the above children were given 100 acres each and William had been given 5 parts of 9 (don't know acreage) but in the will
James Sr. refers often to trying to equal each child's portion or value of the goods and property to that of William's.
