Yes, James was LEVI BOWLIN's son. He was named in John BOWLIN'S Will. John was the son of Levi and requested in his will that JAMES take care of his parents until they died and that he receive the property on their deaths. However, they (Levi and Mary) signed the property over to him before they died.
James took his mother to Clay Co KY after 1842. Mary lives with James in 1850 and in 1860 Mary is found living next to her daughter, Peggy HOLLAND, with WILLIAM WOODS.
