Systemic Misindexing of Lincoln 1820 Census Data as Jackson Census Data at Ancestry

There is a systemic problem with the mis-indexing of 1820 Census data for Lincoln County, Tennessee, as Jackson County data. ALL of the 1820 Census data shown at Ancestry for Jackson County at the date of this post is actually for Lincoln County. See my post at the Lincon Message Board for further details:

At the date of this post, if you are looking at 1820 data shown to be for Jackson County at the paid Ancestry site, you are actually looking at the Lincoln County data.

I have alerted Ancestry about this problem, but it appears that many others have already complained to Ancestry over a period of at least four years and the problem remains unaddressed.
