I'm searching for NC county of origin for James SIMMONS and family who migrated to Lincoln Co. TN about 1816. He d. 1828 leaving wife Katharine and several children. Are there any other SIMMONS in the area who may be related? Any of your family marry a SIMMONS 1800/1820 era in NC or Tn and go through Lincoln Co. Tn? Related families (from will) BARHAM, BURDEN, ERWIN/ERVIN, DAVIS, NICHOLS/NICHOLSON, COOPER, ARMSTRONG and SPRADLEY.
